Looking for a quick and easy way to add some more excitement to these holidays (or perhaps a little bribery program for good behaviour)? Why not make our quick and easy surprise envelope project.

All you need are some colourful envelopes, some number stickers, a little blu-tak and cards or paper to place inside. Put a number on each envelope and put them up on the wall at kid-height. Write a different activity — big and small — on a piece of paper and place one inside each envelope. 

Each day, the child gets to open an envelope and whatever activity the card suggests that’s what you do that day. If you want to plan ahead, you can rig the activities to suit your schedule and open the envelopes in order. Or you can let the kid choose randomly and everyone gets surprised.
