Hi, I’m Leonie — the creator behind Lotta Magazine.
I’m an Australian illustrator and graphic designer with a love for visual storytelling, art history, and making creative ideas accessible and inspiring for all ages. Lotta Magazine grew out of my love of magazines and a need to entertain my two nieces with fun, creative, off-screen activities.
After much consideration, I made the decision to pause the production of new magazine issues. Creating each issue required significant time and cost, and rather than compromise on quality or values by adding advertising, I decided to pivot the business to digital products.
While new issues are no longer being produced, the heart of Lotta continues through a growing collection of thoughtfully designed digital resources, activity books and creative materials. These allow me to keep creating in a way that is accessible, flexible and sustainable — while still offering the same care, depth and love for art that Lotta Magazine was built on.
I am currently focused on creating beautifully designed education resources that spark curiosity and creativity.
